Default Wickham Square Boxing date meet

For anyone looking for an excuse to get out on their bikes on Boxing Day..

Wickham Square ( North of Fareham on the A32 hants, about 10 miles south of Loomies..) has an annual meet in the town square..anything from Steam engines to custome cars, classic bikes, modern bikes and just about anything with wheels..Loads of Burger stands for those that didn't get enough to eat the day before

Event starts around 8am and ends pretty promptly around 1pm..Loads to see, totally free and without any real organisation..it just happens
Someones photos from a previous year..DSC_0961 on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Of course the best bit is that the A32 is one of the counties nicest biking roads, with plenty more that either join it or can be woven into a route for a nice blast of fresh air,,...And the plod dont even bother with it, and probably wont put out any camera vans as its a BH and would cost too much
Be warned ,if you decide to wimp out and come by car, unless you are very early you will end up parking some way away and having to walk in

See you there

Are you doing the Christmas Present run from there down to Eastern Road? My old man's trying to get me interested in that (he does a lot of the runs) but I haven't done any of them yet.

Ooh! I cant wait - didnt see Gedge (or anyone else I know) when I was down there, it was bloody cold, there were loads of knob heads in cars not looking where they were going (proibably hung over) and my bike kept breaking down on the way home* meaning I got a roasting from 'er indoors as I was supposed to go with her to the in laws in the afternoon...

Saturday 12th December - 1230 at Wickham Square. From there to Southwick, over the hill, down the A27/A3M junction west along the A27 (leaving all the Harleys!) left onto Eastern Road and then into Velder Avenue and the Mary Rose School.

Hours run (as I said, lots of Harleys!), apparently hot stuff at the school (take that how you like!).

Cos you is blind as a bat innit....I was walking around mostly gawking at the droop snoop firenza and the 6,000,000,000,001bhp Cortina Estate drag car

Loomies is looking doubtful for me except tomorrow morning if it stays dry ( fat chance I think..), sunday is out, and next weekend is out...although I may go Wednesday night if you can strap a torch onto your bike?

I didnt see you or Johnny five (if you had him last year) and I stayed long enough to want to leave again

I might do Loomies tomorrow morning as its supposed to be dry - probably got a late one tonight though, so it might be raining by the time im in a fit state to go!

PS - Ive got a different battery set up now that should give me a good couple of hours, not that I will go out at night at this time of year when its slippery and cold, Ive gone too soft becoming a car driver for work

I had the KTM BUT...the Morini WAS there..it was the only time its previous owner rode it two up..I saw it in the square and then a few weeks later it was up for grabs...

I shall see how it goes in the mroning but if its dry I shall give it a run..

I thought this was some traditional form of pagging, "square boxing", like.

Lying outrageously on the internet since 2002.
