I do if i'm taking a bit more time and effort, but for a quick wipe on a nice day it's cracking stuff.

I'd be interested in knowing about that too, espcially if it works on the almost entirely unpainted plastics that make up my 990sm!

Mr Sheen is great, as is Tescos blue stripe... but has no depth.

If we all bought proper bikes, Hondas then, that didn't rust then we could wash bikes with fecking gravel.

Re: Halfords - BOGOF on cleaning stuff.
I tend to do the first wash with fairy liquid when I first buy the bike to strip all the old polish and crap off the paintwork, then use a clay bar to get rid of all the crap thats built up, then use a decent cutting fluid ( a mild one) then zymol polish on top.
You get a fantastic mirror finish if you take your time, keeping the bike clean is easy once you've done all that, just a quick wash and detail with zymol again, repeat the clay bar once every 6 months.
You can buy all the stuff from halfords if you must, they do a small meguirs clay kit, and entry level zymol, or online
