I remember Woolworths selling mopeds (Peugeots IIRC) many moons ago. They seem overpriced to me though? |

Oh noes! They may regret that with all the breakdowns and warranty issues these chinese scrap heaps will generate. Not a good advert for motorcycles generally either. My next door neighbour bought a chinese scooter against my advice it has to be said. I think it only ran for a week or so before everything started to fail at once. Most of the cycle parts are made from hardened cheese. Screwd. |

My chinese POS lasted well until everything died at once. Ignition switch failed one day, "remote start" failed the next so bike would not start. It got sent to teh companies mechanic who said the fault were down to it being so dirty (lmao yeah it was dirty, It was winter and I ride B roads to work!) It got there and he found the back pads had worn to the limit, I hadnt checked as it had only done 1200odd Km and I almost never use the back brakes. Its still at there garage, there claiming its my fault all the electrics failed and I simpply said im not paying for it if you dont fix it, well I was saying that unitil they had it for 6 weeks then I went to trading standards ![]() the service intervals were a joke though 300 km then 900 km then 2000km, on my current bike the ride home would have meant going over the first service interval! |

| Thats true but British bikes are now reliable, better looking and well put together. They weren't when the Japs were invading. Now all Triumph have to do is find a way into the small capacity market, not that I think they ever will.
