Have you thought about taking the fairing off and fightering it?

Not for a single second no. LOL

Fighters are really not my thing.

Suspected as much with all the hunting for fairings but thought I'd chip in anyway.

You can if you are lucky! I bought the two mid secton fairing panels (left and right) in yellow, still sealed in the original Suzuki packing for 99p each from ebay. Likewise the upper headlight fairing with a headlight with all the lugs still intact for £15. Headlights with all the lugs intact are as rare as hens teeth I am led to believe.

The hardest parts to track down at cheap prices were the rear subframe (IIRC it was £15) and the upper fairing mounting bracket which coast me about £25. But these items were found over a one year period, not just a few weeks.

Any of you SRAD chaps have a front mudguard bolt they can take a picture of ? need to know if it's just metal or rubber mounted etc.

I think it has a rubber mount - and the bolt has a large 'flange' (oo-err) to spread the load.

Only have a flimsy replica front. Held on with (you guessed), cable ties.

The upper front mudguard mount is rubber: 09161-06021 WASHER £1.52 (it is a special turret-type shape)

the lower mount has a metal 'spacer' 09180-06258 SPACER £0.73

the bolt is: 09139-06030 SCREW CHROME £1.82 (this is the same for upper and lower)

you can put the part numbers here:

Robinsons Foundry

Got the dreaded lumpy fuelling issues again. LOL.

4-6000 on neutral throttle is a touch lumpy.

When nailed, 8000-8500 is a but lumpy and struggles to pull through, but once through it pulls to 14,000. Boy does it SCREAM at rpm like that !!!

It's possible that it could be caused by the race can... which i'm not sure if the jetting has been set-up for, or could quite simply be carbs needing cleaning out etc.

I did have a few issues first 200m where it wouldn't pull at all and died.... went back to the office, bit of carb cleaner, it fired up nicely...

Hmmmmm hmmmmmm.
The lumpiness sounds exactly like what happend to my carbed 750 as i said to you the other day, sounds like the carbs need stripping and cleaning, did mine the world of good!

Cracking stuff mate.

I'll be ordering some today. However won't be using one particular supplier as it's now taken them 5 days to get me a mirror rubber.

Well that's it... it's ready for MOT time.

Numberplate drilled and mounted. (with a reflector).

Front mudguard fitted and sweet.

Fingers crossed.

It's currently booked in for 3.30pm Friday (as i didn't know when last parts would arrive) but will attempt to get it brought forward to today.

That is a quick turn around Weeksy. I'll be over Oxford way tomorrow due to attending a conference at the Sophos centre. No time for a squint at the bike though as I'm rushing between jobs...

So had the old beast out again... first 2 miles, running sweetly...

Then hitting 12,000rpm in 2nd ... blam.... i lose power... still have all electrics but the fuelling has gone to cock. Down gears and it's just about holding 4500rpm... but can't rev/pull.

Pull over, give it 2 mins, and it's OK. Then off again.... 1 mile... same symptoms.

If i pull in clutch and rev, it REALLY struggles... and when running there's just no pull at all. Then slowly but surely it will clear itself, run nicely for a bit... then struggle again.

So i'm thinking:
Carb cleaning
Fuel filter
Coils

What's your thoughts gents ?
