**For those who are joining me along the way: could I ask you to have a whip round of your friends and family and try to get a bit of cash into the collection pot:
www.justgiving.com/coastbusters
Obviously, make a song and dance about your own involvement as they're less likely to sponsor someone they don't know (ie me)! If everyone gets one or two hundred quid in then the target of £5k is in serious danger of being reached! THANK YOU! **

The background to this is that I’m going to ride the Fazer round the UK coast taking in the NSEW points on the mainland. It’ll be about 3200miles over 8 days/7nights at the end of May (17th-24th at present) and is to raise cash for the charity Ovarian cancer action. (http://www.ovarian.org.uk/)

Anyone interested in joining in??

And another one for there and a bit south as well - your map looks like you might ride past our house.

Mind you, you're gonna be pretty lonely everywhere else on the trip.

I'll do some. Probably Wales.

And beyond this arch of sculpted cloud, lies the blue space of all our destinations. The love and peace that is the end of all souls, blows on the breeze, in glorious, melancholic, celebration.

Pedant mode: Since you seem to be starting from the M25... why not start and end it at the Dartford crossing?

Skeptic mode: I wont join you for a bit of the south coast, but will give the quids I save in a charity box... much more efficient.

Now the thought/question I have is this: much as I like the name 'coast-busters' it is not lost on me that this is a plural and I’m going solo. So I were thinking... what if anyone interested were to dip in and out at appropriate stages- ride as much or as little as they like. That way there’d be lots of bikes involved with the common denominator of me on every section. So truly “coast-busterS” and also with more people involved we could collectively raise more cash that I could alone.
I can do Kent/Sussex...

Do we have to stick to those roads tho?

I might join you down to the seaside and round to East Kent, and then stop for tea with my parents (to which you are welcome too*). I like that road from Brighton along the coast East.

* probably. Have to ask first.

You realise you're miles away from the coast through Lancashire?

Any particular reason to miss out that bit?

Assuming the other gaps are road related, doesn't make sense to me to miss out the UK's most famous coastal town.

I might even have gone to Blackpool to say hi.

A lot of people would make a special point of missing out Blackpool
