I will be buying a cheap old parlour guitar while on holiday in the States this Novmber and I intend to bring home on the plane. Anyone know if I'm likely to get stiffed for import duty etc, its only going to be $225 so £110 or so. Its a pressy for my son who will take it to Uni with him, so hence it has to be cheap!! Thoughts anyone?

See people with guitars come through customs quite often. As long as its not brand spanking new and in a box then you should be okay. Get him a soft bag for it and bring it home in that.
