Have been running Greasemonkey for about six months now, with various scripts. All fine until today - nothing's changed but all of a sudden, the Greasemonkey icon isn't showing in the status bar and I can't install scripts.
Greasemonkey is there in the add ons list. I've tried disabling and enabling it, have unistalled it completely and reinstalled it but no luck.
Anyone suggest how I might get it working again as a search of google hasn't shed any light on it and I'm not sure what else to do? Have looked on the wiki page for Greasemonkey and followed the steps to create a new user profile on Firefox. Downloaded and installed Greasmonkey under a new profile and got the same reasult so I'm flumoxed.
Have to tried installin' an older version of FF?
Maybe FF updated and is not compatable with Greasemonkey.
Worth a shot.
Yeah, earlie versions result in the same thing. It's there in the add-ons list along with a list of the previously installed scripts, but it's not running and I can't download any new scripts. Bloody thing is doing my head in - can't think what else to try or what on earth might be causing the problem.
Cheers Chewy, disabled all other add ons and Greasemonkey is back working as it should. Restarted add-ons one by one and uninstalled a couple of those I don't use anymore and it's still working. Thanks very much fella.
