Default VPN & Vista

Is it just me, or has VPN been totally screwed in Vista?

From my WinXp laptop I can connect to the work network, access files, edit them, save them, and view certain internal IP addresses via the web browser.

From my Vista Box (which, incidentally was previously part of the aforementioned work network), I can ONLY view certain internal IPs via the browser. I can NOT access files at all. I can't even see the servers.

Can anyone help?

Vista seems to connect into the network, but doesn't seem able to "see" anything in there.

I use the Cisco VPN client. Do you have any network people who can help you?

err, not really - hence posting here.

And every article I can find online appears to have been written in MS GobbledeSpeak, or not about this particular issue.
