I need to disable my anti-virus software to install HTC Sync. I am running Free AVG, but I can't seem to alter the settings either in Win Security Centre or in the AVG security centre. Short of uninstalling it altogether, any ideas? Ta!

Took me sometime to figure out that my AV was why I couldnt sync my old HTC, not even a thread on VD threw up the solution. The only AVG component i needed to disable was the firewall, can you not get to this by clicking on the desktop icon, or Start, All programs, AVG? On the plus side AVG9 is HTC friendly and syncs automatically

Kill the firewall and get one that allows Synch through. AVG 8 is a pest for this. |
