Default IE question

I cant seem to access history in internet explorer, when I open the sidebar and click on today the box is blank.
Any ideas how to get it back working normally?
Have I inadvertantly changed something to do this?

In tools-Internet options is the history set to zero days? Could someone have reset it to hide their tracks?
History is stored in an index.dat file, this may have become corrupt. If this is the case then you should delete it and let windows create a new one. Browse to C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings and delete History and Temporary Internet Files folders.

History is set to twenty days, I can access 'last week' and can get all the pages from a bit earlier too, its just today thats missing.

I'll delete the history if I have no other option as its a pain trying to remember all my passwords etc.

Don't delete cookies or passwords, just temporary internet files and the history folders. Do a backup beforehand if you aren't confident.
MS make it difficult to delete history and you may need to remove index.dat with a command window, but we'll try that if the first lot fails.
