One of the reasons that The Rev Counter is one of the UK’s fastest growing internet based motorbike communities is that we do not place obtrusive adverts in front of our community members. However the community can benefit from the products and services you offer. Therefore TRC offers unique sponsor packages that draw a balance between obtrusive advertising, which the community dislikes, and relevant product/service placement.

Becoming a TRC Sponsor gives you the ability to post details of your business and any offers you currently have in a dedicated area of the site. This is a unique and interactive method of showcasing your products. Community members can, in this area or via PM, respond to your threads and ask questions. In addition to this, becoming a TRC sponsor will also place your company name on the front page of this site and also allow you to include details of your business and current deals in your signature and profile (within the limitations of the forum software). The front page will also include details of the latest sponsor deals.

The following images demonstrate how, as a sponsor, your business name is displayed on the TRC homepage and how you can use your TRC profile and signature to advertise your business.

And if all that wasn't enough...

You may have noticed the 3 header images at the top of most TRC pages. As a TRC sponsor, and if you choose to do so, you can submit a Sponsor image for inclusion in the random rotation. This image can either link to your own website or to a post in the TRC Sponsors area. As an example this image could include you business/service name/logo.

Once you have signed up simple send a PM to WiseBuddha or Adminstrator with your selected image. Images must be in the following format:

• 110 pixels wide by 69 pixels high (this will then be edited to include a border/header, see example below).
• Must be either GIF or JPG format.
• Must not be animated

This is a sample of the image that would be displayed (You don't need to worry about the border or header as I will add these after you submit the image).

On every page load header images are selected at random and only 1 sponsor image (along side 2 member images) will be displayed at any one time. Your image will remain in rotation until your sponsor subscription expires and is manually removed.

As a TRC Sponsor you can also choose to showcase your products and services through additional advertising models. As mentioned above each of these has been designed to draw a balance between obtrusive advertising and product/service placement.

If the Sponsors package described above doesn't quite fit your needs please do not hestitate to contact TRC Admin. We are more than happy to discuss other options and ideas as long as these are inobtrusive, so dancing monkeys and pop-ups are out ;)

For example, arrangements could be made to:

• Place a sticky in a forum/
• Send a Casino cash donation (with a custom message) to all members.
• Replace a Google banner or put a banner on the homepage.
• Sponsor a specific forum.
• Run a competion.

As mentioned above the TRC Sponsors package is designed to be unobtrusive but effective. Of course we could place "pop-ups" and "Hit the monkey" style advertisements on the site however this would quickly result in the community moving away, without the community TRC is nothing and there would be nobody to showcase your products to. As such site administration has final say on the acceptability of advertising content.

We do not provide any banner creation/design services, sponsors should make alternative arrangements for these.

Replies to threads you start in the sponsors area are moderated and, via TRC terms, community members accept that they cannot use these threads to discuss any negative experiences they have had in relation to your business, products or services nor can they use these to discuss competitors. It is your responsibility to advise site moderators of any posts that fall foul of these terms. However community members are free to start and participate in threads of this type in other areas of the site.

If you choose to allow your sponsor subscription to expire you will no longer be able to post information in the sponsors area of TRC, your business name will be removed from the front page and you must remove all commercial information from your signature/profile. However all posts and information you have added to the sponsors area will remain.
