Yes, fraid so. Green lanes are public roads and ALL road traffic laws apply. People do ride crossers but it's not recommended - it annoys the locals, the cops have a habit of seizing bikes and there are always road sections between the lanes.

Get a cheap trailie, you can have just as much fun on a shonker
