| I don't understand why they all aren't tbh. ![]() Quote:
Jazzy and Sean only get 50 odd miles from their smokers. They are fucking awful to ride behind too. ![]() Quote:

| I dunno having ridden them I really don't like them, they seem too much of a compromise everywhere and at my level off road I like having torque to drag me out of trouble ! It's hard to get a go on one but I'd def say try one if you can, I'd also say try a 200EXC if poss as for me they are a lot better than the 250 4 strokes as they feel very very light.

| I guess the road going trail rider isn't really their target market. Enduro riders will fill up from cans, so premix isn't really any more hassle than neat petrol. And the autolube system is extra weight, an extra thing to potentially go wrong, and extra expense. Quote:

I'd be interested to try a 200 to see what they're like. I couldn't get on with the 300s I've ridden as they all had too much bottom end torque, and were just too hard to ride smoothly. So many people really rate the 200s though... but I can't help but suspect that they're considerably lighter than me and that the 250 is just the ideal balance between the two... ![]() Of course none of that matters if Adam is really set against the two banger, but I've typed it now, so you're fecking having it. Alright?

I think Jaz's might do a little more, but Sean's 300EXC deffo only only manages 50. I know cos I had to push it to the petrol station. ![]() I don't think a 250 2T enduro is the best tool for a relaxing day riding the trails anyhow tbh.

| More than welcome fella! It's off the road at the mo, but as soon as I get my wrist out of plaster I'll be cracking on with the rebuild on it that's been overdue for umm about 2 years. ![]() Will deffo be hankering for a rideout as soon as that's done, so will give ya a shout. |

| again, a lot depends on the trails you ride, up here folk set off down the 2T route then get heartily sick of 2T power delivery on some of our nadgery trails and then buy 4T's cos they are the way forward, I also think it varies from rider to rider as well.if you can blag a go on the various bike it'd sort your tastes out but having ridden with you, you ride like a 4T rider and you will have to re-learn a bit (slip that clutch) ![]() the other thing to remember about 2T's as well if you have any HUGE descents.... no..sorry NO engine braking, makes life interesting as you enter freefall.... |

I loikes my 250 2T. So light compared to 4T's and easy to start even after it's been on it's side. It's got some engine braking, and good linear power delivery (on yellow spring) and fucks off at 2/3 throttle. Fuel range not too bad - but obviously not as much as a 4T. That said I wouldn't recommend one as a first dirtbike - you need a certain level of confidence to ride it properly. You need to stay on the throttle and maintain momentum to "float" over things - if you slow down and bail-out you'll spin up.
