Default Any boot recommendations?

A friend of mine has just started doing a few Enduros, had a small off on Sunday, and got the tip of the brake pedal stuck through the side of his newish Berik boots, and stuck in his calf... He seems unimpressed with this, (just as we are unimpressed with the piddly little cut he's bleating about)
Anyway the point is, he wants some new boots. Any recommendations? Ta very much.

I prefer Alpinestars stuff, Tech 8 or 10's, Gaerne stuff, Fox, Sidi Oxtar, most of the usual suspects do some good boots but my pref is Astars, I can't kill my 8's inspite of 5 years of abuse now...

My Oxtars (TCX now) are still going strong after 3 years of throwing them down the road/track at increasingly higher speeds as confidence builds and competence doesn't keep up.

I use Alpine Stars Tech 6's I am very happy with them....

JJ has Tech 8's and they have lasted well. The Oxtars he had before were good too, before he outgrew them, though he didn't much like the inner bootees. I have Fox trackers which seem made down to a price.

Probably not much help but there is always loads of choice and good prices to be had at the Dirt Bike Expo in November.
