Default Hampshire lane clearing - 26th July.

There is a lane clearing day happening around the "Fiveways" area near East Meon on the 26th July. It is organised by a local residents "Save Our Byways" group, who are more than happy for responsible trail riders to use the area.

To that end the local TRF will be attending to help out and keep up the good relations. It would be great if any non Southern group and non TRF members could tip up and show some support also.

Anyone who has ridden with me near Butser hill will have ridden these lanes and know that it will be a great loss if they end up closed to us, so it really is in our best interests to help out.

If anyone thinks they could lend an hour or two of their time, please let me know and I will pass on more details as soon as I get them.

    Thanks.

By 'clearing' do you mean removing broken bits of CRM and KLX from the lanes

I'm hoping to do a LDT that day but if I don't get a place I'll come down and help out.

He doesn't so much leave bits of bikes behind as take bits of lane with him...

    ...inside his engine.

    Ok, I'm told:
Meet, 10 AM, at the centre of 5 ways. SU696:220.

No power tools - but any hand tools would be good.

I have not been told 'no power tools' but as it is an HCC thing, that is almost a certainty.
