I am generally quite busy in the summer -no time to post....
This summer we moved the house and the business into one place.
My third french house renovation - I spent most of July up to my armpits in compacted mouse and pigeon shit, it was like working in Chernobyl!

The rental business had me riding a bike back from Venice (a rich aussie on a one-way hire) - I think I may post a trip report - but I had no time for pikkies.

I did however find two new roads - col de Nargo-> Tremp in spain and a cul de sac near Gavarnie (Route de cols due south of lourdes) D923 I think - which were absolutely outstanding! And managed (by hook and by crook) to ride the french side of the pyrenees from Perpignan in the east to Pau (about 3/4 of the distance) - but missed some of the good stuff between Argeles (Col D'Aubisque) and Biarritz - just because anytime I was out that way I was short of time - which was a bit of a bugger! Some of this utterly exploded the myth that the pyrenees are too busy in August......

And the accessory business is taking up a fair amount of my time too.... we are taking the Marsee Tank bag into europe - one very public report is this one Fatbiker Rex Marsee 10 Liter tank bag review
which has some pictures of yours truly standing on the tankbag top Product Reviews - a set on Flickr I am in the process of putting some examples of our stuff on this site for auction - so you guys can get your hands on it - but not too many examples mind.....

Went up the second of these this year - Col des Tentes - (unfortunately in the Discovery not on the Tiger) and agree it's a great place. Hard to find the road in as you have to go through the Gavarnie car park.

If you were on a small bike you'd probably be able to get past the rocks that block the road and continue on into Spain.

I have checked on google earth - and i am not too sure it goes that far - I could have got the 1200 through the gaps but courage failed me - and it is 'interdit' as are many types of fun in france - perhaps because of avalanche risks.....

Busy sounds good! In these "Dodgy Banker" times, glad to see the both of the business arms still going, and with enough time to have a ride as well!

Will say hello again at the Bike show if your going this year, LOL, but will also be in touch for a proposed 2009 trip which you may be able to help with......!

We're not going to the bike show this year - barely worth it with the bargain basement crowd knocking out cheap tat - and everyone out for bargains rather than investments - cos our tat ain't cheap - we believe quality counts....
Having said that - we were pleased with the audience reaction to last year's show - but it's a long schlep and a long show - we were falling over knackered at the end.

and let's not forget those 'dodgy banker' times too!

Regarding your 2009 trip - We groove to the 'Espirit Motard' vibe - so are always up for helping fellow riders if we can - just let us know how!
