He should have learnt after the Kawasaki and Stiggy Honda, that he doesn't bounce too well.

He's got a lot of heart, and a lot of guts, but always seemed to over-ride the bikes he was on. He'll never be a front runner, at best bringing up the rear of the mid-pack but one thing MotoGP needs is more riders, so fair play to him, we'll see how long the team lasts. If they make the starting grid.

I think on the right bike and fit he'd do well.

    This isn't the right bike.

After his last clobbering i really hope he doesnt take another tumble or he will be another bloke spending the rest of his life limping from too many serious crashes at a youngish age

I assume he took the gamble ride to keep his face in the MotoGP paddock for future seasons

The reason he appeared to over-ride the bikes is that they were poor. Everyone knows the Sukzuki is poor, it's worse problem being it wears tyres quick and is difficult to ride on worn tyres.

I can think of a few races (dry) in which Hopper was fantastic in the first 3rd of the race and then slowly slipped back. Common thinking was as the tyres wore it wasn't possible to retain the same relative pace.

It would be nice to see what he could do on a good bike, I suspect it would more than follow the mid field around.

I think Hopkin's gamble on Kawasaki has really screwed him up.

It's a shock return for Francis Barnett?
