Default WSB Top Ten

Waddya reckon to these results from a poll by crash.net ?

1 - Ben Spies
2 - Nori Haga
3 - Max Biaggi
4 - Jonathan Rea
5 - Leon Haslam
6 - Michel Fabrizio
7 - Regis Laconi
8 - Jakub Smrz
9 - Troy Corser
10 - Shane Byrne

It seems about right to me Well, maybe Fabby a place or 2 higher.

And you are happy that this acurately reflects everyone's ability and machinery are you?

Think Spies would have won on a Kawasaki?

We used to do that in MotoGP, unless Rossi didn't win and then all the pillocks would say that it wasn't a worthy winner

Are you trying to say Hayden wasn't the best rider the year he won

Honda paid him to be world champion. That's what he did.

And he did it by going toe to toe with Rossi and the rest

Its always a tough one as Haslam, Laconi, Smrz and Byrne were on privateer machines and the rest are on factory backed to one degree or another.

Personally the fact that Bryne finished 8th in the championship against Smrz' 10th and Laconi's 15th, on what are essentially the same customer bike, should see him placed ahead of both of them.

Are you a man or a mouse?

No I dont think he would but I dont think the Kawasaki lads would have won on the Yamaha... they usually just about get the bikes they deserve....

Nobody else in WSB really came anywhere on the Yamaha apart from Spies so that speaks volumes for him too.....

Bit unfair to pick on Laconi for finishing 15th after breaking his neck and assorted other bits at Kyalami at the start of the season followed by missing the rest of it
