Rossi's comments to Suzy.
Was suprised to hear Rossi basically laying down and ultimatum to Yamaha regarding his position come 2011. Basically him (Jorge) or me
Now either Rossi ...

His words, or your take on them?
Didn't see it (as I watch Eurosports). What did he say?

Can't recall it word for word but he that's what he said. Hence my amazement tbh ! He also said that the Ducati ride is something he would consider ! 0o

Italian Rossi, who won his ninth world crown this year, has also revealed he could switch allegiance to Ducati.
Lorenzo recently signed a new one-year deal with the Japanese firm but Rossi does not think there is room for the two riders in the same team.
"Yamaha have to decide between me and Jorge for 2011," Rossi told BBC Two. "I have a great option to join Ducati."
The pair have fought some incredible battles on the track this season, with the 30-year-old Rossi coming out on top and clinching the title with one race of the season to spare, while Lorenzo, 22, as runner-up.
But Lorenzo has said that he has not always felt appreciated at Yamaha and revealed he had received offers from other manufacturers before signing his new deal.
Now Rossi, who signed a two-year deal with Yamaha in August 2008, has made it clear he could make a switch.
"I am not sure 100% if I will stay with Yamaha," said Rossi. "It depends on what happens next year. It depends on my performance and the fight with Jorge Lorenzo and the decision of Yamaha for 2011.
"I could change bike, ride for Ducati and try to win the world championship with an Italian bike. That would be a great motivation.
"But I prefer at this moment to stay with Yamaha because the love between me and Yamaha, our relationship, is something special.
"To change bike would feel unfaithful. So for Yamaha it is important that I finish my career with them and for me it is also important. "
Looks like Rossi trying to elbow Jorge out of Yamaha when Jorge's contract is up next year.

Pretty much as the OP described it. Although, I have slated the Beeb coverage in the past, I quite like their race build up. Certainly wouldn't have had that interview on Eurosport.

I dont watch the Beeb coverage normally but today i did for no real reason .
I was plesently suprised at the on track interviews and after race stuff which was far more than you get on eurosport.
That and i dont normally rate Perry but i thought she looked as fit as f*** today. Didn't she miss the first part of the season through illness or something ?

She had an ectopic pregnancy.
Re Rossi, it's more game playing or I'll eat my AGV. Come 2011 he'll be moving to cars anyway, realising it would take too long the beat Ago's tally of championships (but will selectively point out to equalling his 8 premier class titles - if indeed he does).

Cant stand her TBH. However, she looked quite emotional when Toseland came in and to be fair so was I
. Not sure you would have got that from a male presenter.

No TV here so only going from the posts, but if I was Yamaha I'd let Rossi go to Ducati - or wherever.

Re: Rossi's comments to Suzy.
To be fair to the BBC, Matt Roberts seems to get a lot more than Eurosport used to... I think he used to work for Dorna or something before working for the beeb, As such he seems to get the good, in depth interviews and the riders seem to genuinely like the bloke!
As for Suzi P's interview with Rossi, I think he was playing mind games again... Especially the Ducati thing? I don't know how Ducati, Stoner or especially Hayden are going to react to that! I think win, lose or draw, he'll hang up his leathers at the end of his 2010 contract!

Possibly the difference is that the BBC can cut a better deal from Dorna due to the amount of (licence fee) money they paid for the TV rights.

Yes, he used to work for Dorna.
Do Eurosport have any physical presence at the races?

Not out of the commentary box since they laid off Mamola cos they fucked up the whole thing when they thought they weren't going to be covering it this year, hence Toby and Jools have only done half the coverage...
In previous years RM got plenty of good interviews on the grid and in the pitlane.

Re: Rossi's comments to Suzy.
Probably hype as ever with Rossi, but there is an old underlying story in there...
Rossi wouldn't go to Ducati previously because him and Suppo don't get along apparently, now Suppo's out of the picture is clears the way for Rossi or at least makes that option easier.
