Out of four bikes I have in the garage at the mo three have a switch. Which I like. The bike with the dodgiest charging circuit of the lot doesn't. Which is a pain.

On my latest bike I can't. It's recently out of warranty now though and I intend to sort a switch at some point. Until that one they'd all had a switch and in normal daylight that tended to be switched to side/parking light - Some additional potential visibility without some of the drawbacks of using dipped beam (IMO that I'm not going to argue for 20 pages about :x ). |

Nope. If not having a light switch bothers you then dont buy a bike thats not got one... But if you think having a light on will stop you getting hit, you should'nt riding a bike. or driving a car. or a lawnmower. or a hoover. in fact you should book yourself permanently into the nearest soft room and not be allowed to reproduce. Its the best way really. For everybody. The *rider* makes the biggest difference to saftey by miles. Second place in the safety stakes are your tyres. Next up your tyre pressures. Your brakes, steering, gearbox, engine, chain, etc, etc, etc are wayyyy on down the list... |
