Went out for my Wednesday ride tonight but only managed about 50 miles....the roads were very icy and even with heated grips my fingers were getting nippy..stopped at Loomies for a burger and came out to find the seat covered in frost and the mirrors iced up ![]() Its a shame that the heated vest I got at the NEC has been locked away by SWMBO as my Christmas present from my daughters..I reckon tonight would have been the perfect test ![]() Anyone else a double hard bastard getting out there tonight? |

Nope, in the Volvo this evening ![]() I had to scrape ice off the bike last Friday morning in Snowdonia, though. And the freezing fog amongst the drifts was a giggle, on the pass between Betws-y-Coed and Caernarfon |

I took the bike to work today and yeah it was bloody cold. Planning on getting some heated grips but haven't got round to it yet. What you riding these days then Gedge? Haven't you got a big fuck-off screen to cower behind? |

It was cool getting home this evening. More so than this morning. The silk inner gloves made all the difference in being comfortable though. Don't have heated grips though, they would be nice for longer rides.

It makes me feel alive when riding in the cold*. I'd rather be cold in winter than sweaty in summer. I only saw three bikes today instead of the usual three hundred, I thought bikers were supposed to be big 'n' tough?! Saying that, my feet felt like Birds Eye frozen fish today despite wearing two pairs of socks. Still, I got the back wheel spinning up a few times, which was nice. | |
