It's not just the Adventure, and it's subject to a worldwide recall and has been discussed ad-nauseum on some other GS forums.

I've had mine done under warranty. I did think it a bit rich to charge me for the brake fluid though. Still, they didn't charge for other service bits, so can't really complain

Might be an idea to put this up in your local Post Office, come pension days you'll hit a larger audience.

Recall Details for BMW MOTORCYCLES - R1200GS,R1200ST & R1200R

Typical of my experience of BMW dealers.

FWIW the brakes on my 2 year old K aren't working properly either - there's low pressure in the rear brake circuit - last I'd heard there was no fault code and nothing obviously wrong.

Aint that the truth.
My 35 years don't even make the slightest hint of a dent at lowering the average age of GS owners down below retirement.

Especially not while Funners has his.

You not heard that BMW are just getting the dealers to install a prescient fault diagnosis system?

I've tried to make the point to my BMW dealer that they should be looking after me because I have 30 or 40 years of bike buying left in me.

They didn't bother though. Maybe I lower the tone with my youthful fancies or something.

If you are anything like me it's cos they are just sore as they know they won't be selling you a twat suit, LWD helmet and the entire contents of the Touratat catalogue unlike most GS owners.

I never saw the point of the BMW accessory catologue, most stuff is available as a cheaper/better version from touratech or whatever direct anyway.

And they won't be selling me a GS now either.

Dunno, I need to sort the K out first, then I'm going to take a look at the Stelvio and see what I think.
