IDeally out of them for the whole of that trip, the ZX10R. It does ALL of the above brilliantly. Whereas all of the others do 'some' of the trip brilliantly, and some terribly.

P.s. the 1000's are 2003's

THe one i'd LEAST wanna do it on is the MV312R

Any of these bikes would be perfectly fine.

People get so hung up on "oh this one is too small/cramped/bad luggage/gay etc.

I just took a Ducati GT1000 to France for trackday. It was perfect. But definitely not what anyone else in the known western world would have taken.

Looking at Nurburgring on vids it looks completely unsuitable for bikers, wouldn't take that risk for a little fun.

Luckily I'm only little, so not many bikes are too cramped I want to enjoy the track time while we're there, so it had to be something that was going to behave itself on a circuit and I love my Ducati's, so 848 it is. The IL4's don't do much for me and the KTMs just feel a bit huge and put me off trying to hustle them around. I'm not even going to breathe near the MV in case something packs up

Totally agree it's more about the riding and the trip than the bike

You cannot go wrong with that list. I would take the Ducati.

The MV Agusta (just the one 'u') because I'm stupid like that.

I'd put up with the pain to have it in its element at Spa and the 'Ring. If it made it there.

In the Bible, God made it rain for 40 days and 40 nights. That's a pretty good summer for us in Wales. That's a hosepipe ban waiting to happen. I was eight before I realised you could take a kagoule off.(Rhod Gilbert)

I'd probably take something ridiculous, like a Deauville, BMW RT, or Pegaso

i've just done:

115 to port, 300 to chateau, 3x200 mile days and then back up to port and home.

All on the Benelli. I used an Airhawk seat for the trip down and back up and it was the best thing ever

You must be up for a high mileage award from Benelli, surely?

Need a ground anchor fitting within 30 miles of Ilford? PM me.
