| 5000 since march , but miles away, there's a bloke on the benelli forum with 50k kms on a tornadothat was my vote as well, suprisingly comfy, and not as cramped as a lot of the litre fare. |

2004 (k4) GSXR - I've done 16hr days on these and not been too discomforted...can't imagine many are still quicker or more amusing around the ring either. Nice to see PB including the K3 1000 in the bikes to try before you die. Proper soul. |

Hmmm toss up for me between the Gsxr and the 848.... Have done heaps of touring on my Gsxr 600 so the 1000 would be perfect for me. Although having had a little play on an 848 the other day, I would love to take one round the 'Ring....

![]() I'd take the MV as if it made it, it would be nice to rag round the ring and Spa trackday ![]() but I'd expect all of the bikes to make it, hardly the long way round is it

Airhawk Neoprene Cruiser Lge S/Pad They do them in neoprene, but tbh the plastic is fine. Foxy had one on his Moto Guizzi and was similarly impressed

Of those listed I'd take the VFR800, comfy, fast, good with luggage, better handling than I ride and a big enough tank not to worry about petrol stops. In reality I'd take my FZS 1,000, with the basic mods it's got I can keep with most stuff, as I don't do track days I doubt I'd be quick enough on the track to upset the bike. Plus I know it so have more confidence on it. Boring option, but I know me well enough to know what I'd do, even with a lot more cash... |

With big capacity and BHP sportbikes I've always found it very hard to stretch an IL4 legs on the roads (around here anyway). If heading for the ring I'd imagine thast the one place where you fully enjoy wringing an IL4s neck. So I guess I'd go for a ZX10r or a GIX1000. I prefer the zx10 out of the two for no real reason, so that would be my weopan of choice. ![]() Thinking about it sensibly I'd say all have capabilities beyond mine and any would probably do the job admirably. But a road trip to the Ring is not a time for sensibility is it. ![]() |

I've done exactly that trip on a Honda Hornet 600. On the way home it had to carry 2 people's luggage as someone had had an incident at the 'Ring. The bike coped perfectly |

Tank range is around 100 miles to reserve, then you need a petrol station fairly quickly, unless you've been taking it very steady. I did have 140 miles to empty when it was running in, on the motorway, but I wouldn't try it again at 'normal' revs

3 miles were spent limping in the hard shoulder shaking the bikes side to side to get any dregs out of the tank!!! We did work out the best way of doing it based on a 100 mile tank range, if I remember it I'll bounce it across to you!!
