The first proper bike I ever rode was an old XT350 kind of thing.
I was 14.
My mate had it to scoot about his Dad's farm.
He let me have a go.
He told me to drop the clutch @ 3k revs.
I did by letting go of the clutch lever.
The bike flipped and somersalted across the gravel into the ditch dumping me at my mate's feet.

If I ever get this boring shoot me:

Yup, I was riding sticysidedown's KTM 200 round a MX track, did a jump, cocked it up, landed heavily on the front wheel, headbutted the handlebars and went down like a sack of spuds.

To be fair to SSD, his first question was whether I was OK*, he worried about the bike afterwards.

*I wasn't. I couldn't see anything, my vision went blurry, then faded (into white as if someone was turning the contrast up) out completely. Scary.

Technically.....yes

I've crashed the wife's bike She bought this non-running wreck of an Aprilia RS125 off ebay, and I spent 3 months rebuilding it, painting (pretty badly to be honest) and getting is all running for her. I'd got it booked in for it's MOT, but had to ride it to another shop to get the rear tyre swapped round. On the way from the tyre place to the MOT place, I chucked it down the road

I'd like to say that she was more concerned about me than the bike....and I'm sure this is true, but I've never lived it down, and I never will Mind you, as I was the one that had to fix it anyway...the only thing she lost was a little time She ended up with a better bike as a result, cost I was so convinced I'd crashed because the forks were buggered that she ended up with a perfect set of blue-tops off a 2003 bike !!

Oh yeah...I remember that. I beleive you were actually trying to, though, so it doesn't really count I still remember the mechanic mumbling through his teeth as he was unscrewing bent bits

I can assure you I wasn't trying to crash. It was a tad embarrassing doing it infront of a pit wall with 30 of you lot on it, let alone the walk of shame back up the pits pushing it.

Best £10 I ever spent tho.

Zero mile brand new FireBlade. About 1996 IIRC.
Lowsided on the unscrubbed tyres.
Grazed my knee.

Lying outrageously on the internet since 2003

Blew a piston on my old Zed when it ingested a choke flap and needed transport. A geezer in the pub offered me his trusty rd200 as a runaround Christ, I looked stoopid on that little thing, plus it was gutless and coked up. Going thru a local village I was ogling some skirt and the car in front slowed, I couldn't stop in time, slewed it under the rear bumper. It was wearing fecking Pneumant tyres FFS ! Fixed the headlight and indicators, never told him.

When I was 16 (20+yrs ago) I had a go on my work colleagues mums vespa type jobbie, IIRC it had some sort of gear change on the handle bars on the opposite side to the throttle, not sure what happened but the only wheelie I've ever done ended up with me on my arse and the bike nearly went swimming in the dock, he was a right hard b****ard to, and not very impressed
