Has she sold it yet?

Hope she enjoyed the perfect weather today for the inaugural ride. (no need to thank me)

Well, just had another quick run out and it's just brilliant. Getting a feel for it now and it's just as I remember the test bike being...dead easy to chuck around, but well mannered and stable with it. Been up some pretty bumpy, twisty little roads tonight and it's been fine, although the speeds are moderate what with running in and all

murcan...action shots will be up after the first trackday

crust...yeah, definitely have a meet up again. It's a nice spot for a sandwich and a poke round the bikes It's Rutland Water by the way

God...cheers for the weather, it's toasty!

Wow, stunning (although I do like the white better), sat on one at the NEC and wasn't impressed, sat on another at Donnington 2 weeks ago and they couldn't get me off - I want one (even though it would be wasted on me) Enjoy, you lucky person.

hmmm Looks like it yes, however the 916 was such an inspired refinement of those (possible) Honda cues that in terms of aesthetics, it was a step forward... whereas few would pitch a 600 RR against a 916 in the looks dept.

Tamburini acknowledged the NR as a styling cue for the 916.

Few, indeed, would suggest the rr is as aesthetically pleasing as the 916, but that was not the suggestion.

It's clear that the 1098 was drawn up to hark back to the (more popular) 916 style which derived in part, from the earlier Honda. Perhaps the later Honda followed the same process.

Whoever was first is somewhat irrelevant, since with styling, one has to take one's cues from something, there is nothing new when it comes to shape...

What is your point? that design is influenced by functionality, ones' peers? with a bit of inspired styling if one is lucky? yeah I already made that point to Docca. Thanks though!

Does this mean you're going to stop banging on about multistrada's now?

Thumbs down Re: Life with a Ducati 848

I hate this thread. Last night I had a dream I bought an 848 and it all made perfect sense.

I better lay off the cheese before bed.

LOL Go and ride one, they're very nice.

Mine's now filthy after getting soaked riding home from the Service place this afternoon Only popped in to say hello, get my hugger fitted (I didn't have any suitable bolts) and have all the levers adjusted. By the time I left it was throwing it down! Oh well, not so shiny new bike any more. 100 miles down, 500 to go
