it does look like a little RR, but then that was quite a pretty bike for honda.. and that took it's cue from the 916.

Looks fab.

Been out getting some miles on me new 675 Daytona and the roads were jammed down here, too. World must be on holiday or summat.

In the Bible, God made it rain for 40 days and 40 nights. That's a pretty good summer for us in Wales. That's a hosepipe ban waiting to happen. I was eight before I realised you could take a kagoule off.(Rhod Gilbert)

Services are 7000 miles or one year, pretty much on a par with Japanese bikes these days

That would be a no then Mr couch. I know as much about Ducatis as I do about molecular biology.

indubitably... draw solace from the fact that you are very far from alone in this regard.

Liked the pix. But, hey, if you were just up the road you should have stopped in.
Run it in by the book and get your comfort level, then let us know how your first track day went. And get a proper camera with someone else behind it. We'll need action shots.

Mainly because I don't like overly powerful bikes. You can thrash the hell out of the 848 and have some real fun with it, without it feeling like it's going to smash your head in any second! The 1098 on the other hand is properly quick, just too much for me to handle.

Hope you enjoy it, but it just doesn't say 'Ducati' to me. Well, apart for on the tank. And maybe a few other places.
It is quite Japanese looking, but parked next to the 996 in the garage, it definitely screams Ducati

From the reviews I've read, the 848 is only just a little more civilized than the 1098. It's still a powerful bike with great handling. I'll bet you'll be lapping with a few 1098s when you get it run in.
