Angry Anybody else with MCE Insurance?

We've both used them for a couple of years, generally cheaper than the rest, helpful etc. But recently they're just impossible to deal with, I just want to get my policy changed so I can insure the 848 in time to pick it up on Wednesday.
Called them on Tuesday and the 'system's down', they said I'd get a call back yesterday. Got fed up waiting and rang them again. Nobody available, would I like a call back? Yes I would...but come 7.30 last night, no joy and when I called again, that department had gone home Every time, it's a good 20-30 mins on hold. Getting really fed up. Just trying them again now and I'm about ready to scream
Anybody else had this trouble? Recommend me somebody else that's reliable please, I can feel a cancellation coming on.

Arrrgh! Still not sorted! That's it, I'm getting some quotes elsewhere. It should never be this difficult

i use vauntage 0121 708 0173 i have been with them for years, and they do really good deals on ducati's as they did the misses 748 £98 full comp.

they are a bit slow but they have always come up trumps for me on all my bikes.and when i was a despatch rider

I used to be, can't remember why I switched - probably a fuck up on a claim.

Have you tried Carol Nash?

Their online quote was twice what Bennetts have quoted! Not had to pay that much since I was a n00b

Devitts and eBike are worth a try. Dealt with both of them recently, with no problems

I usually find that MCE and ChoiceQuote are neck and neck in cheapness/VFM for me.

But then I've had a couple of claims and never had a problem with either of them

Thanks to Weeksy, I'm all sorted. Going to have to cancel with MCE, I think a week trying to get a bike changed on a policy and several hours of phone calls is enough to break anyone.

I appreciate you trying to help Dominic, but I'll be cancelling the policy now. I can't put up with being on hold for 20 minutes every time, sorry.

They have been good to me in recent years and I am still with them till renewal. However in recent months when changing a bike it took them more than 3 days to get on their system and change me the bike over, lack of staff so I was told. As usual the person that eventually dealt with me was helpful but they are not as good as they were.
