There's a chap on my commute has one. He's pretty aggressive with it so gets on ok but there's no hiding the fact that it is a WIDE bike. Sounds great though!

If your commute is tight it might be a PITA. I know it would for me (but then I cut my renthals down 30mm to make my fazer narrower so I may have a skinny obsession )

bikes are like blowjobs and pizza…..none are really bad, but some are so much better than others.

I see where you are going with this, you need something that will encourage you to relax and chill out a bit on the ride to work.

Buying a smaller bike, as has been suggested, isn't the answer. A 600 single or somesuch will still encourage lunacy. I know, there are two of them in the garage.

A big lazy brute like the MT-01 could well be the answer. I've ridden them a few times, yes they are good to ride, yes they run out of steam at what feels like no revs at all, but the initial acceleration and punch can be quite fun. But it doesn't encourage madness. It's a bike you can love, and i've seen people touring on them happily as well.
Stage 2 kit is v expensive, but transforms the machine. Which might defeat the object of the exercise.

Get a Ural.

Pleasantly styled, badly executed.

Truly appalling build quality with the shabbiest ancilliaries imaginable. Rides ok to be honest, way better than a 1200 Sportster, but that motor isn't anything special at all.

What really put me off was the way it looked like it had been built by a blind man in a shed.

Hmm. I trust your judgement in these matters. But I think I may just have a look at one...and..er...a go on one.

Followed him again today..... it's definitely wide! Well... maybe he's just huge but I was assuming it was the shape of the bike....his knees stuck WAY out and the pegs look pretty wide too

So, is it time for bad behaviour yet? Let's do something on the bikes before the summer vanishes and it's the new millenium again.

I've got a B-King out the front and i'm not afraid to use it.

Give my wrist a week or two and I'll be up for bad behaviour.

In fact if it's not motorcycle riding related, I am up for bad behaviour whenever you fancy really!
