Had the opportunity to ride my mates 08 GSXR 750 with aftermarket Arrow exhaust (with baffle removed) whilst up in Scotland, way too loud when I set off, but above 50mph all I could here was wind (crap lid), agree, what's the point? Have a Scorpion can on my CBR (previous owner fitted) and only once tried taking baffle out - hated it. As for the irreversible damage to the eardrums

What the market needs is a can that's O/E quiet up to say 5k, so you can pootle out of your neighbourhood,and then screamin' eagle loud >5k

Gone are the days of a 5 minute can swap like my old CBR. The ZX6 is a pain in the arse and expensive to swap out so I'm stuck with the OE one

The only people who are going to look at a loud bike are the denizens of Boxhill et al - thus the only reason to have them on a road bike is to "make an entrance".
