I've been searching for that "perfect" black mascara for years. I thought I'd found it with ones that have the white thickening and lengthening bit to go on first and then black over the top, but have grown bored and they still don't give me the thick eyelashes I so want. I also seem to have lost the ability to apply false eyelashes So...can you recommend me a really good/effective mascara - tried and tested please...not just "this one is supposed to be good". Especially interested if anyone has tried this one from Givenchy (the phenomen'eyes)
I've tried and tested almost everything on the market as I only really wear mascara on a daily basis. I find they are too thin to start with then end up dried out, no good!! this little beauty is thick from the word go and stays that way This is my reccomendation. I stopped looking when i found this. Been using it for years now. I've even tried their newer stuff and it still doesn't match to Lash Architect. Probably why it's still selling after all these years. Think it's about £8.99 I've not tried any of the new stuff as I no longer look. Found the one i love and so stick to it. I'm shafted when they take it off the shelves. Edit: that one you have pictured looks really messy to me. I wouldn't even try it on that basis.
Funnility enough I have one of those in my makeup bag (I must the the only female that has more black mascara than she does lipsticks!). I will admit it's been currently reverted back to. Bought a new one last night to try So far the application is VERY messy (had to remove LOTS of mascara from upper and lower lids - not normally something I need to do) and it's not quite as thick as I'd like it - am off out shortly so will see how it stands the wear test. Brush is a bit weird too.
I struggle to get a mascara to stay put! I love dancing and tend to 'glow' quite a bit!!! Even the expensive waterproof ones end up running down my face. I'm kind of resigned to it now though
I think I may have found the one that is giving me the look I wanted, with thick full lashes...however as it's only day one, I haven't seen how well it lasts...but so far I do recommend the new Extra-Volume Collagene mascara by L'Oreal L'Oral Lash Hydra Collagen

I clicked on it, what i thought was five mins, in real terms i was there for 20 mins Oh and if this one is as good as you say I will try and get one. I do like Loreal. It would appear the new L'Oreal mascara has passed the test! I worked all last night, getting back home at 0630 this morning...and although very heavy lids, my mascara had amazingly not smudged! That was nearly 24 hours of wearing, no reapplication or touch ups! Top kudos to L'Oreal

Top kudos to L'Oreal Went to invest in some of this before I came away, but apparently they only do black at the moment Need a brown or brown/black (in case anyone knows of it being available anywhere)
Been very impressed by this Masterpiece Max By Max Factor. Easily 24 hrs without smudge. In fact when I last stayed over at yours, it was still in place in the morning. Thumbs up for plumptness on those lashes.
Sadly Max Factor is a brand I won't buy
