Anyhoo, I have a domain with Godaddy (brownbeans.co.uk) that I want to move because of the amount of crap Godaddy have on their site and the deviousness of their business, I'd like to move it to a UK based host. There isn't a website attatched to it, I just want it out of Godaddy's hands. How do I do it?

Re: How do you move a domain?
The company you decide to go to should make it easy. Here's an example:
Transfer your domain names to Easily
They even have a step by step instruction guide:
http://support.easily.co.uk/al/12/2/...aid=1237&bt=4n
I stopped using Easily a couple of years ago by the way, but I had no complaints about the domain services.
By the way, I give it another 15 minutes before the mods move it.

Define "move".
Where the domain is managed, or where it's pointing to? I suspect both.
If the domain is unused, e.g. there is no hosting, it's typical for the domain host to put up a holding page. This will be full of crap. Some are less crappy than others.
The thing to do is to just point the domain at some hosting, like some free hosting that came from your ISP or whatever. Even if you just put a blank page on it. You can do this with your existing godaddy control panel.
If you move the domain management elsewhere, for instance I use 123-reg.co.uk to host domains, you'll just swap one load of crap with another. Although 123 tend to keep it to their own ads.
