    Default THe Best of 2009

As we go into December we have to reflect on the year just gone. It's a tradition or an old charter or something.

Here is the best picture from 2009:

If you haven't seen it before you're probably thinking " What's special about that? It's not even straight" but that doesn't matter, it's still the picture of the year (in my opinion).

    Spoiler

So what's your best of the year? It doesn't have to be a picture, just something that made you go "Wow!".

Lying in my hospital bed, still in a state of extreme confusion. With some pain and discomfort and altered perception. Surrounded by people I love. Realising that I was alive and would be OK and that if I gathered myself up and re-asserted control, it would go smoother and quicker. And, wanting that. Because of the beauty of this world, and its people.

Actually the rock that is shaped like a pork chop just to the left of the meteorite resembles Block Island.
The amazing thing about the photo is that I thought it was a black and white photo of a beach scene. I thought I was seeing waves lapping at a sandy shore. Pretty cool.

You were in the hospital? What happened and why didn't you mention it before?

That's what I thought. It's what made me go "Wow!"

There has been so many, that its hard to pin point just one. Getting rid of the builders after one and half years of misery, and moving into house is pretty high up on the list.
At the top of the list though, is ChloeJ and myself having our first go at woodcarving.

Reaching my 28th birthday was a special event given that it wasn't going to happen a few times and going back work.

Simple things i know, but important to me.

For the best of TRC in 2009.... you need to take a look at the end of the Winter Ball thread in Days Out, for the video posted by Scottland
