Scraped ice off the bike seat for the first time this morning. Winter has arrived in deepest darkest SE London. Fresh ride to work, thankfully the heated grips are a joy! Time to find the trouser liners though, my thighs were cold! No gritting done on my route though...

Frosty/Icy car for the first time today...also encountered my first patch of Ice, which proved rather hard to slow down on. I've not driven to this place in winter before, so I dunno the 'trouble spots' for icy conditions. I got a bit of an idea this morning though.

No sign of gritters up here, but the car had a squiggle on black ice this morning - Eeek!
We seem to have gone straight from summer to winter this year!

took me ten minutes to scrape the ice off the car , but it was worth it for teh gorgeous clear sky and full moon last night

I SOOOOOOOOOO prefer this to rain (even when I commuted on the bike, cold was better than wet )

Bike this morning on the "didn't seem that cold" South Coast. Car was registering 0.5degC when I moved it to get the bike out of the garage!!

Some interesting black ice but generally fine, reminded me of why I tended to use my son's XR125 for frosty commutes rather than the Sprint last year

About 3 degrees this morning riding in, no salt and dark visor needed by 10 o'clock for the bright sunshine

There was full on covering of snow on the fells up here last weekend, I assume that the sleet that fell on Carlisle was snow everywhere else in the county as its always a couple of degrees warmer here.
