Made for a nice "cinematic experience", I'll grant ya, but not much more. I did play it through to the end in a couple of days tho, its true, cos it hooked me. But thought was very overrated.

Multiplayer's a blast, but lost of shooter games have decent MP modes.

Our sainsbury's isn't 24 hours so I'm not sure if they're opening especially.

Have to go and find out tho or I'll never hear the end of it.

Think yourself lucky, alot of the PCers are boycotting it or you'd have to deliver a lot more.

The guardian link someone posted said Sainsbury's will be selling it from midnight in five stores, i just assumed that it'd be up on Sainsbury's online then as well, along with the rest of the games.

Quite, they've totally fucked pc players over with multiplayer. If we wanted their shitty console server system we would have a shitty console.

Another nail in the coffin of pc games. Two major releases this year on pc, this and Empire, and both have been royally fucked up.

EDIT: BASHandSlash.com - MW2: Our game has changed forever

Modern Warfare 2 shock: No servers or mods for PC version!

It's £26 in Sainsburys. My other half bagged one for me this morning. No queues, no rush, although we do live in bumfuck nowhere.

I pity the peeps that paid £50 odd preorder or queued overnight..... That is economics at it's best.

Those of you buying it for your kids do realise that it is a PEGI 18 game?

I was considering it for my eldest (10) but not too sure now

I'm a little confused by this statement. The original Modern Warfare game was a PEGI 15 game so why would you be looking at getting the sequel for a 10yr old?

And yes. Infinity Ward/Activision have upset a heeeeyoooge number of potential customers by screwing up the PC multiplayer. Personally I'm more annoyed about the fact that depending on dificulty setting the single player campaign will only take 6-8 hours to complete. That's not a game, that's an expansion pack.
