Join the Wine Society. Wine is very good you can buy as much or as little as you want. You can even buy cases and have them store them for you. Wines go from very cheap to very expensive. They also arrange tastings and events all round the country and overseas.

They do a 'wines without fuss' mixed case which is superb that you can buy as one-offs or have delivered regularly

live in spain mate!

the average supermarket has a better wine selection than most wine shops back in blighty.

good offer in my local supermarket at the moment. 3 bottles of faustino I 1996 (excellent year for spanish red) for 57 euros.

VERY tempting!

I think I am correct in saying the Sunday Times Wine club is Laithwaites

Or France.

They KNOW Californian, South American, Oz stuff is piss - so it doesn't exist. I do miss the occasional bottle of Spanish, mind, just for variety.

A mixed case is just that innit? Bound to be a 3 or 4 hummers surely? Do they slip in a bottle of Hock or Bulgarian Cab Sauv?

It is, as is Virgin Wines and a few others. s' all right but personally I'd go for the Wine Society. Although what do I know? I don't drink enough these days to justify delivered booze so just make the odd trip to Majestic

Whilst hunting for deals on Champagne for our customers I was pleasantly surprised at the selection in Tesco. Doing 25% discount on 6 bottles + and it means you get to choose your mixed case.

Just wandered into M&S and they are offering 25% off the case, so that is a good saving. I have a hankering for some Fitou, so may well nip over later a get a couple of bottles...
