Its true that I am a little bitter, because on the night, United didnt deserve to take anything from the game......and the fact that Ronaldo(The world cup cheat) wont lose any sleep is the biggest tragedy of all

I think you'll find that on the first half performance alone, Your mob should have been 3-4 down and finished! For a change, It was a good final... The best since the Milan-Liverpool one, and over 2 hours of football it was fairly even. Utd should have put it to bed in the first half, Chelsea battled back and made a game of it... To say that one side deserved it more than the other is ridiculous if you actually watched the game!

Thumbs up Re: Wot? No footy threads?

As a neutral I thought it a fantastic game, though it's a shame Drogba chose to ruin it with his petulance. The better footballing team won, which is good for the game.

Probably true. Chelsea have always been a champagne team....but there's something particularly nouveau riche about them recently. More daftly expensive sparkling white than Krug...long on the palate, with a brutal middle.

I preferred them when they played like angels with knuckledusters in their pockets than the current team that all wear knuckledusters but could play like angels if they ever behaved like a proper team instead of a bunch of contracted stars with their eye on the main chance.

I am assuming that Makelele being floored by an elbow to the face was less important than Drogba's back handed waft....double standards.

Looked like playacting to me- and the ref apparently.

My point exactly, the same ref that awarded Liverpool a "goal" when it hadnt crossed the line. And they moan about English officials, ho-hum

I see patisanship is alive and well. As a neutral, I have to say that Utd did just about enough to win the game, there was certainly not much in; it was an entirely enthralling final though.

As for my earlier comments about Ronaldo, well perhaps they were a bit harsh, aww bollox, I just cant do it, yes he was restrained on the night and we did not see too much of his diving, but he is just such an arrogant twat, and the look on his face when he thought he had lost them the cup was just a precious memory Combine that with Drogba getting sent off for the petulant fool he is, and a result all round.

Again, as a neutral, I thought the ref had an excellent game, managed to keep it all in check until Chelsea managed to collectively spit their dummies out

No, these werent close, just the sheer volume in numbers and noise was keeping me awake. Oh yes, and the drunken neighbour who came back about two in the morning. I should have checked this morning really, but it looked doubtful if he was actually going to make it home
