1992 YAMAHA Diversion XJ600S MOT and taxed
First the good bits: she's a 1992 Yamaha Diversion 600S, is extremely cheap to insure, service and run (she does around 160 miles on a tank).
The front brake cable has been upgraded to a braided cable to assist in braking. She has a current MOT and 7 months tax left and as far as I am aware there's absolutely no reason why she shouldn't fly through another MOT, although the front brake pads need replacing first.
Unfortunately, like any bike of this age, she's not in perfect condition. Both exhausts have damage; one has a scrape mark and the other has weld marks where the baffeling was replaced. The front windscreen has been cut down, which improves the look of the bike, but makes the bike slightly more tiring to ride, due to reduced wind protection. The front fairing has marks on both sides where fairing "pods" where bolted on and vibrated against the fairing - the pods had been removed before I bought the bike and are NOT included in this sale as I don't have them, and there are some small chip marks on the paint on the tank.
The engine was replaced in 2002 (I think) with a 1998 XJ600S motor which had 9800 miles on it, I have a photo-copy of the reciept. Unfortunately I don't know what the mileage was on the bike at that time, so I don't know the total mileage on the engine.
NOW SOLD - thanks to everybody for your interest.
