    With the new house move well and truly completed, last weekend was time to move the last of my items from the shed before allowing our new tenants to move in on the Monday.
    I hadn't really realized just how much time that I spent in there, and just how empty it would look when were gone.
    Clearing the shed for the last time, gave me time to reflect on what had been a very happy place.

  2. Pets.. Goodbye my friend

    After our last pet died some 12yrs or so ago, I swore that I would never have another one and be put through the anguish of them becoming either ill or dying.
    Then some two and a half years ago, we kept seeing a cat watching us from a distance in the garden. I have never been that fond of cats, but over a period of six months and alot of work, I befriended this one, and he went from a scared thin cat, that was covered in sores and cuts and unable to meow, to one that was fit and healthy ...

  4. Simple garage construction

    This is the start of a non “moto gp” garage that I am currently building at the house that I shall shortly be moving to.
    The aim of the thread is to show the method of construction that I generally use on my oak framed building projects.
    At some stage, I shall add the methods used in the taking of levels and setting of datum points. I shall also add any info that I can think of, that may be of help to anyone that is considering building a workshop, shed or garage.
