The Welsh National Motorcycle show doesn't have millions of pounds worth of sponsorship that comes with it. In my opinion the huge amount of police presence at football matches means that there's a lot less bored coppers available waiting to pull you for 33 in a 30. The press, the public perception and even the governments ability to acknowledge our existence is a double edge sword. when the crash barriers were changed to 'cheese cutters' bikes were not included because basically we don't exist as road users. But in the case of increasing the road tax we also didn't exist in the consultations so we benefited. Riders need to stick p for ourselves but we need to be careful how we do it, head above the parapet and all that...
