+1 - that's what I use.

They are passive noise cancelling - they act as ear plugs so cancel out any external noise. I like this as it means the volume coming out the headphones is very low (doesn't have to compete with however many decibels of background noise) so will damage hearing less.

There are other 'active' systems that use a microphone and phase cancellation to reduce noise. I prefer the passive systems - less to go wrong, plus generally cheaper.
